DJ Kitty Sign raises 38,300 peso for Perros Santos at the Todos Santos Brewing Fundraiser
Hand-painted Galeria Militar sandwich board sign has been THE landmark on Calle Heroico Colegio Militar that signifies that you found our contemporary art gallery in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur. DJ Kitty has been our siren on the rocks who calls the lost sailors to shore. And the time has come to free her from her perch.
We are finally letting DJ Kitty go. To help our furry friends in collaboration with Perros Santos and Todos Santos Brewing Fundraiser we are auctioning off these pieces to raise much needed money and awareness for the local spay/neuter program.
These original illustrated paintings are each one side of the sandwich board sign created by Mark Gabriel in 2019.

About The Perros Santos Project
"The Perros Santos project was launched in July 2023 by a committed group of dog lovers and advocates on a mission to help Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, by providing monthly spay/neuter clinics. Our goal is to fund one clinic a month in Todos Santos to curb the over population of stray and unwanted animals.
Even though our project is exclusively for spay/neuter, several of our volunteers are involved with rescue and fostering. They work with local rescue groups who help with adoptions. We have some community volunteers that identify and bring homeless dogs and cats to the clinics. Those are returned to their neighborhoods. The majority of the animals we treat are brought to the clinics by their owners.
With these procedures, dogs lead longer, healthier lives, while the community benefits from fewer strays and more resources for better animal care.In our first 12 monthly clinics 700 animals were sterilized and our goal is to achieve at least that number in our second year. The clinics are 100% volunteer run. When we started it was mostly expats but we have a growing number of community volunteers, including some high schoolers.
Our vet team does not volunteer their services but their fee for surgeries at our clinics is less than half their in-office fee. Grant funding is exclusively used for fees for surgeries and medications. The surgeries and post-op medications are provided free of charge to the community."
